Voice Over IP (VOIP) and Video Capture

Skype may be my favorite application on my computer.  As a out-of-state student, this VOIP forum allows me to keep in contact with my friends and family that are back home in New York.  Skype goes beyond and above what a cell phone or what email can do and allows me to have a face-to-face conversation with the people that I miss most.  VOIP allows you to be personal with who you are contacting and gives you a feeling of being in the other person's presence.  Needless to say, Skype and VOIP is something that I use quite often.  Aside from Skype, I have used IChat as well as Oovoo.  Skype however is my favorite software to use and is my VOIP of choice.

Although I was very familiar with VOIP and Skype, I had never used Jing or video capture before.  I thought it was really cool to be able to download software that would allow you to record a picture or video of essentially anything that appears on your screen at every given time.  Jing allows you to go above and beyond just simply taking a screen capture on your desktop and allows you to record video that could be used for anything. I thought that it was so cool to record my video chat, and is something that I am glad to have learned about and will certainly use in the future!

Below is a link to my video of my skype conversation.
