Doctors and hospitals around the country have teamed up and started to use securemedical.net in an effort to comply with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA).  Part of HIPAA's enactment was to protect the security and privacy of health data in the United States and securemedical.net is just another forum to help move in this direction.  This site allows users to send, store, and access their email in a a state-of the art secure encryption technology environment.  The target audience of securemedical.net is not just for the use of professionalism, but is also meant for small businesses and individuals as well.

This forum also allows doctors to maintain relationships in a safe environment and to better serve those in need of medical attention by allowing a flow of communication.  Doctors have access to other specialitists email addresses and do not have to worry about having their information out there to be hacked or taken advantage of.  Securemedical.net is simply a way for you to make sure that your online medical information is safe from piracy or anyone that should not be able to access it and is a very inexpensive way to comply with HIPAA.  For any of you that are comfortable using regular email, securemedical.net should be just as easy and safe for you to use as well!
